Green Chip Environmental is an affiliate of Blue Chip Measurement and Regulatory. The inception of Green Chip was motivated by the objective of offering customers very specific assurance and confidence in their engagement with specialized subject matter expertise in the environmental services industry. - Development of FEMP (Fugitive Emissions Management Plan)
- Submission or TIER applications
- Planning, coordinating, and executing mandates related to environmental impact studies, other forms of environmental assessments and environmental screenings, environmental permitting and authorizations.
- Preparing technical reports, permitting applications, environmental impact assessments and other associated documents.
- Working with clients during the planning phases of capital projects including undertaking strategic environmental constraint analysis to support site selection and project design.
- Evaluate and consider potential environmental impact and compliance issues.
- Provide clear and concise findings, recommendations, and options regarding client deliverables.
- Responsible for data review and field quality control
- Act as liaison with AER / Public Land Officers, AEP officials as required, field consultants, and surveyors.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience with TIER and One Stop AER submissions
- Experience with GHG emission and carbon credits
- Strong communication skills
- Works well in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing.
- Strong leadership skills
- Able to plan multiple activities.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and learn quickly
- Proficiency in Excel
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete fugitive emissions surveys using gas-imaging cameras
- Quantify leaks using camera manufacturers’ software
- Tag leaking components using Blue Chip leak tags, record, and document leaks
- Assist with fugitive emissions reporting under Directive 060
- Complete equipment inventories of pneumatic controllers, vents, pumps, and gas-fired equipment
- Help senior staff on a variety of projects
- Ensure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes and participate in regular field audits for competency and training purposes
Qualifications / Experience
- Industry-related certification (instrumentation preferred)
- Experience with handheld instrumentation/analyzers and infrared cameras
- Understanding of AER Directive 060
- Willingness to travel in the field and highway across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia
- Valid Alberta Class 5 operator’s license or equivalent with clean driver abstract
- Required HSE training for fieldwork (first aid and H2S as a minimum)
- Organized and can prioritize multiple tasks
